Rockland County Intergroup is an A.A. service entity that involves partnership among A.A. groups in our community. Rockland County Intergroup carries out functions common to all the groups. It is financed and supervised with local group representation and exists to aid the groups in their common purpose of carrying the A.A. message to the alcoholic who still suffers.
Within the body of Intergroup, you will find Group Representatives, individual Chairpersons and Officers responsible for Intergroup’s various committees or functions, such as/ but not limited to:
If your group currently has no Intergroup Representative, please consider bringing this information to your group so it can consider electing a yearly Representative. If your group would like, Rockland County Intergroup will be more than willing to come to your group business meeting to explain its functions.
If you have any questions, or your group elects to have Intergroup come to your group business meeting, please use the form at the bottom of this page.
(On holidays the meeting will be held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month)
Your Group can elect separate representatives to help execute 12 step work concerning the areas in this list,
Some of these Committees meet on separate nights at different locations.
All funding for Intergroup comes from local A.A. groups that voluntarily contribute funds to carryout this 12th step work. (See Self Supporting Pamphlet page 12 for more information)
